kanadic software package provides katakana and hiragana drill files for KDrill, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install kanadic
kanadic is installed in your system.
Make ensure the kanadic package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kanadic *
You will get with kanadic package name, version, architecture and description in a table
